Do open board students get admission to AIIMS?

<p>There is a provision for the open students to avail of admissions into AIIMS provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria for the entrance exam. The eligibility criteria includes the following with respect to the AIIMS admission:<br><br>Educational Qualification: Students should pass their 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as the core subjects. The open board examinations (e.g. NIOS) should be recognised by the Ministry of Education in India.<br><br>Minimum Marks :- Students in the General category must secure at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) in the 12th exam. The aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) should meet the required cutoff.<br><br>Age Limit: The candidate has attained the age of 17 years on or before the 31st December of the admission year.<br><br>Entrance Exam: AIIMS will conduct an AIIMS MBBS entrance examination for admission into the institute. At present, AIIMS is part of the NEET-UG process, so NEET scores are now accepted for admission.<br><br>Thus, if eligibility requirements are fulfilled, one can apply to AIIMS through the NEET UG entrance exam regardless of whether one has studied in open schooling setup.</p>
