Do students from Anna University get placed abroad?

Anna University is one of the best or prestigious college of engineering in India. It has many college that are affiliated to it. First of all I should let you know that it is totally unpredictable whether the foreign companies would like you to work abroad. It totally depends on the companies according to there needs in certain region,projects of companies going on in foreign countries,etc. Anna University is believed to be bring many foreign IT companies for placement and some of them are Yahoo, Facebook, Microsoft, Capegemini, IBM,etc. Many times these companies comes for the placement and takes written test then group test and then interview. Many students gets qualified to work abroad but sometimes no student is offered job abroad by any companies. Placements abroad depends on the capability of the students. Hope it helps.

First of all, I should make this concept clear that placement abroad is not what a college can assure you of. It is totally dependent on the company as to where it wants you to work at, the number of vacancies, projects going on your desired job location. Other than that if you are going for an off campus placement, the company might reveal and advertise for job locations they are keeping in mind for the newly recruited, but during the college placements, it is not so. No, talking about Anna University, it is one of the most reputed colleges and is the best among all the colleges in South India. Although, the college did not do well in the sector of college fests and social media management. The training and placement cell manages to attract a lot of core companies that are readily willing to recruit students for domestic as well as international locations. Also, the acceptance rate for admission at Anna University is very low and that is why only the best of the minds can make it to the college, that being the reason for the high placements in college. The highest placement offered to the college for this year was around 56 LPA (international) for Singapore. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Yes, definitely. Anna University is a well known and established university and it is well known for its well arranged and disciplined academic culture. When it comes to placements, the university has the plus point of being situated at the location which constitutes the major portion of the national and global corporates. Bangalore being the silicon valley of India and chennai being as an emerging IT hub of India . The corporates visit Anna University campus every year to get the best for their company. Some students precisely from a core branch such as CSE and EC and IT got place abroad or got an opportunity to work abroad for a couple of months. Being among the top universities of India , this is the first priority of all the South Indian aspirants after core branches of IITs. The placement scenario is also quite good when it comes to the national placement. The only thing the company sees is the hard work and passion in their respective fields and then you have to prove them that how you can be an asset to them. Keep the hard work and the results will be best .
