    Hello, let me tell you about the placement and internship trend of IIT Guwahati. You won't believe, due to so much hype about the internships abroad, students generally intern abroad in a huge number and it is highest as compared to any other IITs. Even students in the mechanical department with "F" in their courses who got internships abroad. In my honest opinion, since there are a large number of reputed CS companies which come to the campus for internships, probably the good students find it too lucrative to get in them and hence end up not doing foreign internships.     First of all, abroad placements is not a big thing now. Many engineers got placed outside the country with a high package. The question arises how.
    Then is simply because of hard work, determination and immense passion.
    Now talking about IIT, Guwahati than its a big institute and you get ample of opportunities and a very large scope to build and develop yourself.
    One should not ignore the fact that, IIT still not guarantee a very high or even a definite placements. Its quality and efforts of the students which get them to their desired positions.
