Do students from National Institute of Technology get placed abroad?

    Few NITs students particularly from top NIT such as Suratakal get placement abroad but it's percentage is not as high as of legacy IITs and BITS Pilani.

    National Institute of Technology is of national importance and has received special recognition from Government of India. There are a total of 31 NITs which are funded by the government of India these institutes are among the top ranked engineering colleges in India.
    It all depends on you that how well students are doing in the college whether you have the knowledge to support your profile in front of the foreign companies.There are many foreign companies that visit every year and have their placement selection in about three stages.
    1) Written the exam.
    2) Group discussion.
    3) Interview.

    It's possible if you are from CSE/ECE. Prominent companies do visit top 5-6 NITs every year. The foreign placements aren't as good as IITs but yes there is a slight chance that one may get a foreign placement in Google, Facebook or some other software company. Companies like Finisar, Epic, Goldman Sachs, Barclay's etc offer abroad placements at NITs.
    Google also conducts an off-campus drive. If you are a good coder you do have a good chance out there.
