The eligibility criteria for M.A. in Geography at JNU differ for reserved category candidates. 15% of the total number of seats are reserved for applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes. Additionally, 27% seats are reserved for the applicants belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBCs) (non-creamy layer, central list) and 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). Deprivation points are also awarded to candidates from Quartile 1 or 2 districts.
