Yes, the eligibility criteria differ for the reserved category candidates at JNU. According to the JNU e-Prospectus 2025-26, candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD category who are selected on their own merit with General Category candidates are not counted under reserved quota. The reservation policy of the Government of India is applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PWD categories.
