Yes, the M.A. in Sociology eligibility criteria differ for the reserved category candidates at JNU.
Reserved category candidates are eligible for relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination. SC/ST and Person with Disability (PWD) candidates who have passed the qualifying examination are eligible to appear in the Entrance Examination, irrespective of their percentage of marks.
OBC (NCL) category candidates are eligible for 10% relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination in relation to the open category.
