• Excel is a must. We use it for analytics, finance assignments, and data exercises.
• SPSS is introduced in research-based subjects.

Subjects in the first year of B.Tech at IILM, like Basic Programming, Digital Logic, and Mathematics, are taught slowly and from a beginner's level. Yes, very frequently. Every month there are expert talks, workshops, or company interactions. Sometimes they even happen every week. These sessions may be mandatory or sometimes optional, but they are highly recommended because they expose you to different industries and professionals.

The hostel has a fixed curfew. Entry and exit are monitored, and you need permission for late returns or outings. Initially, it may feel a little strict, but you get used to it. Inside the hostel, the environment is lively: people studying in groups, some playing carrom or table tennis, and others just relaxing after classes. Weekends usually feel more free, so you can step out with permission or hang around the campus lawns. Overall, it's safe and structured, but not suffocating.
