Do they select on the basis of 12th marks? Is that okay if one has scored below 1000 in 12th and 100 above in NATA?

No, 12th scores are not the only criteria for admission into Architecture. NATA 2019 exam score/ JEE mains paper 2 scores along with 12th score is considered for admission into Architecture. -
No, they do not select on the basis of 12th class. Admission is through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling based on the score obtained in NATA.
Qualifying marks for NATA is around 80, just above 100 will not be a very good score , you at least need to score 150 to get a decent college
