Do Tourism management courses has any advantages?My ambition is to became an IAS officer .Will it helps me to my career?

Iam studying historical studies and iam interested to study tourism.Can I get job in tourism dept of govt.

tourism mgmt is a nice course.u can go with it and start ur own tourism firm.regarding IAS exams u r suppose to choose the subjects from the given list.this mgmt prog may help a bit in a particular subject but it wont support the wide syllabus to be covered for the IAS exams.
