Do we have the option of changing branch at the end of 1st year as from bio-technology to chemical engineering in IITs?

If yes, what is the eligibility criteria of the same? Can we also change the stream from science to engineering as IIT-Kanpur provide both options of B.Sc and B.Tech?

Hello Anish, Yes, you can change the branches from biotechnology to chemical engineering and any other choices. The only way is to have a high score in the semester exams like 9/10 or more CGPA/CPI. The one with a high score will be given the first preference. In case of a tie, JEE Advanced ranks wi
