Do we have to go to the college allotted in the first round and take admission to upgrade later or we can directly apply online in NEET?

According to the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the candidates do not need to report to or join the allotted college in the first round of NEET counseling as there is an option of a free exit. If a seat is upgraded in the second round, the earlier allotted seat in Round one is automatically cancelled if the candidate does not attend the assigned college. You can directly apply online for the second round as soon as fresh registration for round 2 starts. In this round, if you get an upgraded seat, you can join the college allocated.
