Affiliated to Calcutta University, the college offers UG and PG courses in the field of Arts, Science, Commerce, Business Administration, and Education with various specializations. The medium of instruction is English. However, candidates coming from vernacular medium schools are offered facilities to improve their skills in spoken English. Admission to the college is done by submitting forms online within a certain given time after which the candidates are called up for the Entrance test (if any) and the Counselling procedure. The admission procedure for UG and PG courses starts in May and continues on until June. For Ph.D. courses, the submission procedure begins and ends in December itself. For B.Ed the process starts in February and continues up to March. Registrations are open for admission to full-time residential MBA programme for the academic year 2019-2020. Candidates for pursuing UG courses are compulsory to have passed class XII from the recognised board such as CBSE or any other state board. Basic eligibility for PG courses such as M.Com and M.Sc. Is a Bachelors degree with an aggregate of 50%. The college also offers B.Ed (in Hindi, English, Geography, Economics, History, Political Science, Life Science, Mathematics). The admission process for B.Ed will commence from Feb and will conclude in the month of March 2019. Candidate must have scored at least 50% in Bachelor or Masters degree (for general category) and 45% for reserved categories.
