Do we need to write GMAT for enrolling in MDIS?

I have an average of 74%(first class with distincion) till 7th semester .and I will be completing my engineering in May 2014.for now i have done internship in IIT MADRAS.n a few workshop in college. I have no work experience for now and I havn't written GMAT.

If you are looking for MBA with top B schools, you need to write GMAT but most of the top business schools will require work experience with GMAT scores. since you do not have work exp, i think you target universities and college which give MBA or masters without GMAT.
