Yes, it matters. Most colleges look for students, who have performed well not only in school exams, but also in competitive exams like SAT and ACT. -
Yes, it is not only class 10th & 12th but 9th & 11th too. Also, if you manage to get a good score in TOEFL & SAT, it'll help you to get admission in the top universities. You can get a scholarship too.
