Does 12th percentage matter in government medical colleges or only the NEET score is considered?

I have heard that if anyone gets above 40% (OBC) then he/she can apply for NEET and if the score is good then a medical seat is granted.

You need 50% marks in PCB (practicals+theory) in your board exams to be eligible for NEET. During admissions, if two students profile clashes (everything is same i.e. age, marks in the individual subject in NEET, category, etc., then your board marks are considered for admissions.

At the time of admission, even 12th marks are taken into consideration. Both NEET score and 12th marks are important.
