The Karnataka PGCET score is calculated by evaluating the candidate's correct and incorrect responses in the entrance test as per the marking scheme set by KEA. Marks are awarded for every correct answer, with no negative marking in case of incorrect responses or unattempted questions. The final score in Karnataka PGCET exam reflects the total number of correct answers and helps determine the candidate's performance level. Those who meet the required cutoff marks are eligible to participate in the counselling rounds, including the choice filling and fee payment. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) considers the PGCET tie breaking criteria to allocate a rank to the candidate with an identical marks. In case all the criterion leads to a tie, KEA considers a 'Draw of lots' method to allot a rank to the candidates. "Draw of lots" in Karnataka PGCET is a random method used to break a tie when all other tie-breaking criteria. KEA conducts this draw to assign ranks fairly and without bias when no academic or personal factor distinguishes the candidates.
