Does art is compulsory in animation and 3d courses?

I am attending 10th class this year.I have read some questions about diploma after 10th class,i am having intrest in animation and 3d visualising,but unfortunately I am not good in art.So does art is the main thing in animation courses.or if not what should I do after 10th to go with animation.

Kashif, take any creative subjects or arts or languages. I would recommend that as you study for your 10+2, you start practicing sketching to begin with.
