BIT Mesra use JEE Mains score for admission in their under-graduate programs in engineering. You may refer to following link for admission process on other programs:

No, the selection is through JEE Mains exam. If you have a good score in it then you might get the college.

No, it takes admission on the basis of JEE score. For all B.Tech programs JEE Mains is required.
All the IIT aspirants have to sit for JEE Mains. The selection will be based on the candidates' AIR in the said examination.

No, it does not. Admissions for BIT Mesra are conducted by the JoSSA and the procedure is very much similar to the NITs. If you want to take admission in any extension center of BIT, then you will have to visit the respective campus and apply for the admission there.
