In accordance with the Ministry's official declaration, exemptions from the CUET 2022 exam have been given to eight institutions in the Northeastern States and one central university in Uttarakhand. The State-run and private universities and colleges in Meghalaya will not be required to use the CUCET result to determine admission to UG and PG programmes. Among them are:
    Nagaland University
    Tripura University
    Mizoram University
    North-Eastern Hill University, Meghalaya
    HNB Garhwal University, Uttarakhand
    Sikkim University
    Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh
    Manipur University
    Assam University.
