Chandigarh University accepts JEE Main 2026 scores directly, mainly for scholarship allocation, but it also conducts a separate admission test called CUCET. Students with valid JEE Main scores can submit their ranks during admission to be considered for JEE-based scholarships, which are offered to up to 5% of the total intake seats in each engineering program. However, for students who have not appeared in JEE or wish to improve their admission chances, CUCET serves as an equally valid and official pathway. Chandigarh University accepts JEE Main 2026 scores directly for admission into B.E. programs. Candidates who have appeared in JEE Main can submit their scores during the application process and participate in merit-based counseling. In addition to JEE, the university also conducts CUCET, which serves as an alternative admission route. CUCET becomes mandatory for students who have not attempted JEE, particularly for Computer Science Engineering programs. This dual-path system ensures flexibility and fairness. Hi.

    JEE Main Score Route

If you have a JEE Main 2026 score, you can apply directly using that.

Your All India Rank (AIR) is used for:

Branch allocation (high-demand branches like CSE, AI/ML, IT, etc.)

    Merit-based scholarships

No CU-specific entrance exam is required in this case.

    CUCET / Direct Admission Route

If you don't appear in JEE, CU conducts its own Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) or considers 12th marks for merit-based admission.

This route is optional for JEE-qualified students.

Advantages of using JEE Main at CU

Branch preference: Higher JEE rank increases your chances of getting top branches.

    Scholarships: Merit-base
