Yes, first-year (freshmen) students are required to live as part of on-campus accommodation, within the university maintained residence halls.
Freshmen students are not allowed to live as part of the on-campus apartments. Living there is only limited to seniors (2nd year or above).

The CSUDH Middle Class Scholarship (MCS) allows UG students, including those pursuing a teaching credential, financial aid to attend a California State University (CSU) or University of California (UC) campus.
