Does CU help students in getting internships at news channels?

<p dir="ltr">The journalism department connects with national and regional news channels for training programs. Students often get chance to join teams in production, reporting and editing. The university also arranges industry visits so students can see how newsroom works. Practical exposure is also given through CU community radio station where students practice hosting and reporting. The career cell of the university helps them in finding suitable internship options and prepare for interviews. Because of such support, students manage to work with well known media houses like News India 18, India TV and others. These internships give them basic knowledge, confidence and experience needed in media field.</p>

<p>At Chandigarh University, students of journalism and mass communication do get help in finding internships. The university has tie ups with different media houses and news channels where students go for training. They also get visits to studios and field projects which make them industry ready. CU also runs its own community radio which gives practice in real environment. Apart from this, career department guides students for interview and internship search. Many students have gone to channels like Aaj Tak, India TV and News 18 for short term training. This way students not only learn but also make contacts for future jobs.</p>
