Does distance MBA program governed and run by the institute itself or does it source from some contractors?
The fee structure is less and there is no selection criteria in Distance MBA. I am confused.

There is always a university affiliated with the course, however, there are two kinds of universities.
1. Autonomous:
It provides its own degree and it is not dependent upon any body.
2. Affiliated:
Provides a degree of a specific university with which it is affiliated.

The same is applicable for the private institutions as well most of them are Autonomous, but they do have a specific recognition granted by a third body for example UGC recognition. However, some colleges are working as a broker who find students for the university, but basically it is the universit
