    Yes, there is a negative marking. There will be a penalty of 1/4th (one-fourth) marks assigned to the question for each of the wrong answers. Every 3 wrong answers will be deducted from the marks scored for one right answer. For more marking details, you may visit the Shiksha GIC exam page.     Every three wrong answers will eat up the marks scored for one right answer. So yes there is negative marking in GIC.
