Does good GRE score overcome the low GPA score? How much score should I get in GRE for getting in top 100 universities?

My GPA score is around 2.5 on a scale of 4. I want to do MS in mechanical or industrial engineering. Is it going to be very difficult to get in to good universities even if I score well in GRE?

You must score over 315 in GRE but most of the universities require at least 3 GPA. Still, don't get disappointed. You also need to score 100 in TOEFL, make a strong SOP, get strong recommendation letters to get admission.

It depends if university doesn't have holistic approach for admission review. They may consider conditionally, however 315+ always recommended.
