The main thing that matters in any field is that you are well with your skills.
And as Mechanical Engineering you can get placements but most Government College Students Prepare for Government Exams So you try for that too like for in field of Boiler Inspector or Junior Engineer or Assistant Engineer.

See, placement is fully based on your skills or in the college you did persuaded your degree .
Because they did take Creamy students from the different colleges and if you are in that list your welcome in the placement cell they will hire you anyhow.
