Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM) in Chennai accepts CAT scores for its MBA and PGDM programs. The admission process relies on entrance exam results, with valid scores from CAT, XAT, GMAT, or CMAT required. GLIM also considers academic performance, work experience, and the Statement of Purpose (SOP) in its selection criteria, without strict cut-offs for scores. To be eligible, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognised institution, achieve at least 60% in their 10th, 12th, and undergraduate studies, and be fresh graduates or have less than 36 months of work experience as of June 30, 2024.

Admission to various courses at Great Lakes Chennai is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are XAT,  CAT, and others. Candidates willing to get admission must pay the application fee. Candidates applying through the CAT must first register for the CAT exam. Then appear for the CAT and with relevant scores take part in the Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai admission process before the last date of application.
