Does having poor academics hamper in getting finally admission to FMS even after scoring a very high percentile in CAT 2016?

Hi Samul, Poor academic score does not hanper your chances of admission in FMS unless you can justify getting those marks. In all, it is not a criteria of selection into FMS

Hello Samul, FMS doesn't give weightage to your past academic scores or to your work experience. Thus, they won't play a direct role in your selection. So, yes it is possible to get into FMS.
