Hotel Management opens up a door to the world of hospitality including hotels, resorts, quick service restaurants( Mc. Donalds, KFC, Subway), themed park (like Disneyland, ocean park of Hong Kong), luxury retails like (Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci Armani), airlines (as a crew or a ground staff) as well as in govt. sectors like (railways, catering services). But, if you wish to join govt. services after HM, then I would suggest you don't do that. It will stop your growth. Yes, you will be earning more than your peers at some point of time and you will have a job security but the there would be no development. Let's come to the salary part. If you are smart enough to get into the management trainee programs provided by top notch hotels, then you will be earning around 15-35 thousand. As a hotel operations trainee, you will be earning 10-17 thousand. I will suggest you to go abroad and do an internship there. You will be earning in lakhs just in the internship and it will help to boost your communication, as you will be in a different environment, where you're not in your comfort zone of speaking your mother tongue.
