Does IIM's recruit students of hotel management background for MBA in HR & marketing? Could you provide a factual answer?
I have heard it from people that hospitality students are not selected by IIM's in the interviews even if they clear the CAT score and GD's? Is it true?

If you score well in CAT, GD/ PI and have excellent academic records, you can make it to IIM even after Bachelor's degree in hotel management.
