No, admissions at the International Management Institute in Kolkata are of two types - Self Sponsored and/or company-sponsored. The institute creates a cutoff list for all its programs for the various categories - General, Sc/ST/OBC, etc. Candidates are shortlisted only on the basis of their academic records, CAT/XAT or GMAT score, and work experience. The Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after the completion of higher secondary schooling under the 10+2 system or equivalent. Candidates appearing in the final year of their Bachelor's degree or equivalent are also eligible, provided they furnish the proof of having MET the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2020, failing which the candidates may be asked to withdraw from the programme. Hi, IMI gives a cut-off for all its programs for the various categories- General, Sc/ST/OBC etc. Only if you clear the cutoff of the respective category, you're called for the subsequent process that is GD, WAT, and interview. Profile calls are given by certain B-Schools like SPJIMR, Mumbai but eventually, they also consider scores of CAT/GMAT etc to make the final selection of candidates. Hope the answer helps.
