10 months agoHello, the institute of post graduate medical education and research in Kolkata has a very long history. It became a hospital for the European and continue to be so for many years. Finally after the independence on 16th of January 1957 it was renamed as institute of post graduate medical education and research in the same premises and was the inaugurated by none other than the then prime minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru. The institute has come a long way since then. It obtained 24th rank amongst all the medical institutions across India in the year 2023 as per NIRF.
