Does it make more sense to go for a general MBA or an MBA with a specialization?

    Specialized MBA makes your preference strong for a specific field which means you will be preferred first, where as a normal MBA would make you eligible for all the streams but without any specific scale.

    Always specialization in MBA matters a lot. General MBA is all about studying all aspects of management education which include Human resource, finance, operation, marketing etc.Most of the companies require students based on specialization.Some universities like Bangalore University, MG university etc offer dual specialization.The openings for general MBA graduates are very less as compared to MBA graduates with specialization.Companies choose aspirants based on the vacancies in their firm.So there comes less opportunity for the general MBA students.     MBA with specialization gives a field of expertise were any individual can learn things on the field of their interest and be a master of that field and it also helps to know that field in a better way with larger exposure.

    Doing MBA with a specialization makes more sense than doing general MBA. As, nowadays, the corporate sector is looking for aspirants who are experts and specialized in some field during their course of study as it would help the corporate to spend less amount on a candidate for training him. While doing a general MBA, the candidate can get a job but the package compared with a person having a specialization would be less. Nowadays, dual specialization is getting a boost so doing a general MBA now would be a loss for anyone.
