Lateral entry into B.E./B.Tech is based on your Diploma aggregate. There is not separate entrance Test for lateral entry into engineering colleges in Maharashtra. Some colleges may conduct their own entrance test. But maximum colleges follow the procedure set by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. For admissions into direct 2nd year engineering every year CAP (Common Admission Process) rounds are held by DTE. You have to register on DTE's Official Website. Hi Sanket, Candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering/Technology or B.Sc. with Maths at 10+2 level from a recognized board with minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ ST belonging to Maharashtra state). Admission is based on the marks obtained in Diploma/ B.Sc. Interested candidates can apply online with required information.
