Does LPU have a chance of getting ICAR?

You would be happy to know that LPU Becomes the First Private University to be Granted ICAR Accreditation. In addition to the regular course work, especially designed practical courses like Hands on training, Practical crop production, Rural and Agriculture Work Experience (RAWE), Nursery raising for horticulture crops, Crop And SEED Identification Laboratory, Soil And Water Sampling And Analysis, Soil Description And Interpretation Discipline Highlights: Agriculture laboratory, Organic And Chemical Fertilizer, Manure Identification And Application Laboratory, Introductory Nematology, Disease Of Horticultural Crops And Their Management, Practical Floriculture And Vegetable Crop Production Laboratory, Bio-Safety Rules And Intellectual Property Rights are offered to promote practical implication of various courses which train students for industry. Students are exposed to Commercial farms (100 acres) to know-how that create an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. They were also engaged in complete cultivation practice of seasonal crops for 6 months, wherein land preparation till harvesting and marketing of the final products will be done by student to expose farming experience. Profit earned by selling solely shared by students of a group. Some crucial facts include the following :- Due to ICAR accreditation large numbers of companies are visiting the campus. More than 44, 46 and 43 renowned firms and industries are on board for on campus and off campus drive in 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 respectively. Around 90% of the students getting placed every year. Among the drive conducted the major associates were with Syngenta pvt. National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE) 5. Council Of Architecture (COA) 6. Pharmacy Council Of India (PCI) 7. Bar Council Of India (BCI) 8. Indian Council Of Agricultural Research (ICAR) 9. The Institution Of Engineers (India) 10. Institute Of Town Planners, India (ITPI) The international accreditation and memberships are 1. International Association Of Universities (IAU), France 2. Association Of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), UK 3. The Institute Of International Education (IIE), New York 4. Accreditation Council For Business Schools And s (ACBSP), USA Apart from that, there are other rankings that I would like to share with you too. LPU is recognised by ICAR as it stands for Indian Council for Agricultural Research and B.Sc. (Hons. ). Agriculture, M.Sc. Ag. (Genetics & Plant Breeding), M.Sc. Ag. (Agronomy) and M.Sc. Ag. Horticulture (Fruit Science) programmes are accredited to ICAR by the National Agricultural Education Board of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, an autonomous body responsible for coordinating agricultural education and research in India. It reports to the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture.

LPU is the first private university got ICAR approval. LPU holds a stellar record in placements as big brands like VLCC Healthcare Ltd. , Ankur Seeds, HDFC, Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. , Ebro India Pvt. Ltd. , etc. Have visited for campus recruitment at packages upto 4.5 LPA. In addition to this, students can attain positions as Agriculture Inspectors, Agriculture Officers, POs, Food Quality Inspectors, Agriculture Development Officer, Horticulture Development Officer, Technical Assistants and administrative posts in government and non-government organizations. Over and above, I also came to know that recently, LPU has been ranked in top 80 amongst all private and government institutes by NIRF, MHRD, GOI which shows the quality being delivered at the institute.

To clear your doubt, let me inform you that LPU is already ICAR approved university. Not only this, LPU is approved by other councils such as UGC, AIU, NCTE, COA, PCI, BCI and Institution of town planners India. I am writing this because I have been an alumni of LPU and now an existing scholar at LPU. LPU has got almost all the resources to carry out the study it offers, may it be fields, labs etc. I fully support students to go and get admission in LPU.

LPU is the first private university in the country to get ICAR accreditation. Not only this, LPU is the university that has made it to the Top 200 in the World in Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2021. and only 3 universities made it to that list, and one of them was a lovely professional university in which I am studying. I feel proud to share that LPU has been ranked at the 2nd highest position among all the Indian universities in its debut year. So, I guess this says all.

Hi, I am writing just to update you that Lovely Professional University has become the first private university to get ICAR approval. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is the apex body for coordinating, guiding, and managing research and education in agriculture in the entire country. If the University is ICAR approved, It means the university has all the resources like fields, labs, etc. Thanks.
