Does LPU have a nonveg mess facility?

LPU is 100% pure vegetarian University and all type of vegetarian delicacies are available in the campus. However, some students are also there who are very fond of non vegetarian food. For them a Non- Veg food restaurant has been opened by LPU in collaboration with a vendor Food Factory where all non-veg foods can be enjoyed by all including eggs. However, this restaurant though operated under LPU has been located adjoining the LPU BH-4 Ground where an LPU guard is placed and opens till late in the night. While one can enjoy non-veg foods without leaving the university it is strictly not allowed to pack the food and bring with you inside the university. LPU comprises of diversity from all over the world, they try keeping the pace of variety and taste of food too accordingly. Hostel food is scheduled day by day and apart from it, LPU has roof canteens at each of its blocks and along with it. The food at kiosks has cuisines of Indian, Chinese, African, etc. Food items. LPU doesn't compromise on quality and variety. The food at all hubs is scrutinized frequently and they are highly penalized if hygiene is not maintained. Not only this, LPU mall has several franchises including Dominoes, CCD, with, etc. , and the even the means of delivery like Swiggy, such that students feel free to enjoy all facilities and feel like home. In LPU different variety of food are available due to the student diversity at LPU. The price range at the kiosks are also very nominal starts from 20 to 150 so, you can enjoy amazing good food at these kiosks. If you are a foodie, then you will enjoy the food available at the campus and also you can enjoy different cuisines. Hope it helps.

Yes has recently LPU allowed non-veg food facility for their students. They tied-up with food factory and has opened a non-veg mess near BH 4 ground. Students can go and eat non-veg food there inside the campus. Apart from that, they are a lot of options outside the campus and in the adjoining locality. At Law GATE or near the main GATE also. But if we talk about veg food students have n-number of options available inside the university also. LPU's non-veg mess facility is totally managed by an external vendor. One of my South Indian friends adopted for the same mess as they are fond of non-veg food, he told me that the fee was around 27,500/- per semester for non-veg food.

No, nonveg is not served in the mess. But the student had many options that is available, Students have an option to avail Mess Plan from the University or may manage on their own. Mess Plan may be offered in 2 different categories I. e. Standard Food and Basic Food which includes both options of North Indian Food and Regional Food (South Indian). .

Dear Sahiba, Yes, LPU has a non-veg mess facility but it is totally managed by an external vendor. The mess fee is also directly paid to an external vendor. One of my South Indian friends adopted for the same mess as they are fond of non-veg food, he told me that the fee was around 27,500/- per semester for non-veg food. Hi, there I am an alumnus of LPU. Yes recently LPU allowed non-veg food to their students. They have tie-up with a food factory and opened a non-veg. Food store near BH 4 ground. Students can go and eat non-veg food. Apart from that, they have a lot of options. Available for non-veg food at law GATE or near the main GATE also. But if we talk about veg food students have n- number of options available inside the university also. They can eat anything inside from domino's pizza to a sandwich or rice bowl. And the food of mess is also so good cooked by chefs of LPU. Believe me, the quality of the mess food is good. For more information, students can call on their admission toll-free number. Lovely Professional University is really good University. Right from the teachers to placements, everything amazing and taken care of. I really feel as alumni of LPU, that it is one of the best institution and really works hard to better its students in every way possible. The egg and any other Non- Veg food is not available inside the LPU campus because it is prohibited according to rules of LPU. It is 100% pure Vegetarian University. In case you are a big lover of eggs and non-veg then, a Non- Veg food restaurant has been opened by LPU in collaboration with a vendor FOOD FACTORY where all non-veg foods can be enjoyed by all including eggs. Last year only I heard from my cousin who is an existing student of LPU, that being a vegetarian university and looking into students' choices and tastes LPU started the nonveg mess in collaboration with a vendor FOOD FACTORY where all non-veg foods can be enjoyed by all including eggs. He also told me as such students are not allowed to take nonveg food within the hostel/apartment or anywhere in campus but can enjoy eating eggs or non-veg food only in that non-veg mess. LPU doesn't compromise on quality and variety. The food at all hubs either kiosks, university mall eating points is scrutinized frequently and owners are highly penalized incase finds with unhygienic food service. Not only this, LPU mall has several franchises including Dominoes, CCD, with, etc. , and even the means of delivery like Swiggy, such that students feel free to enjoy all facilities and feel at home. Students, staff, and faculty members have the right to order their food through Swiggy but vegetarian only. Hope the above information clears your worries.

LPU offers flexible options in Mess services- As per feedback from one of the hosteller of LPU, This university is having good quality food, and flexible Mess system, giving option to hosteller to have Food from mess or they can switch to other food options (like 300+ Food kiosks), LPU Students have an option to avail Mess Plan from the University or may manage on their own. Students are provided with flexible options to choose their preferred mess (within hostel or outside hostel), choice in food varieties and option to avail lunch near respective academic block in case sufficient number of students opt for the same. Choice of Menu - Standard or BasicChoice of Food - North Indian, Regional Food or South Indian Students can avail the mess plan two days prior to start of academic session and will be required to leave it within two days after regular exams. For availing Mess Plan after the end of academic session for any purpose like summer school/ reappear examination/ make up examination/ PEP/ EEP classes etc. , additional proportionate Charges for mess and its administration will have to be paid by the student, subject to the availability and permission for mess plan. Customized plan (e. g. for full calendar year) may be provided on request. Students have an option to avail Mess Plan from the University or may manage on their own. Mess Plan may be offered in 3 different categories I. e. Standard Mess, Basic Mess and Ala Care.
