    Petroleum Engineering covers Chemistry and geology to extract oil and gas from under the earth's surface. LPU don't offer B.Tech. Petroleum Engineering course, instead offering B.Tech. Chemical Engineering course, which you can pursue. Chemical engineering is a broader category than petroleum engineering. It covers the production and use of many types of chemicals. Chemical engineers use Chemistry to develop fuel, food, drugs and new substances. Both petroleum and chemical engineering are considered some of the most valuable degrees in India & abroad.     Yes, LPU is beneficial in the field of petroleum engineering.     LPU works hard for its students in terms of education, faculty, placements, infrastructure, etc. Petroleum engineers have come a long way from just drilling a hole underground to produce oil by its natural energy, to very knowledgeable enhanced oil technology, to actually pushing oil from an injector well to a producer.     LPU does not offer Petroleum Technology B.Tech. I can give you some details about engineering programs offered by LPU.     As per my knowledge, LPU does not provide B.Tech in Petroleum. But, you can pursue Chemical Engineering at LPU which is very good at LPU.
    Let me share the eligibility of this programme at LPU.
    You should be pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Chemistry Mathematics, and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.

    Well, LPU is a good university when you compare it with other private universities and colleges. LPU has good placements. It provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students.     Hello Sahiba Sharma, LPU does not provide B.Tech in Petroleum but yes, they provide B.Tech in Chemical Engineering. You can take admission in Chemical Engineering. Dear, For a B.P.Ed course in LPU, anybody who holds a degree in any discipline and has an aggregate mark of not less than 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) and participated in inter-college, zonal, district, or school-level sports competitions recognised by AIU/IOA/SGFI/Government of India is eligible.
