Does LPU have study abroad option?

LPU is good in terms of infrastructure, faculty members, placements, assessment model. Plenty of opportunities are available for students. Study abroad is one of the highlights that is there for students. International Exposure, Semester abroad and Credit Transfer are the options provided under study abroad opportunity.

Yes LPU has tie ups with universities and colleges abroad. This is very good initiative taken by LPU. You can get the benefit of international studies and placements by availing this study abroad option.

Yes LPU provides international exposure and has tie-ups with foreign universities all around the globe. The student in the study abroad option can opt for : 1) Credit Transfer - Complete some part of course from our university and remaining part of the programme from foreign university and receive the degree of the foreign university. 2) Semester Abroad - Study in the foreign university for one semester and receive the marksheet and certificates of that semester from that university only. 3) Summer/Winter School - 4 to 6 weeks study tour or internship to USA/European countries or any other country.

Yes, LPU does offer study abroad options for students. The students can go to these universities through an international credit transfer, semester abroad, for summer school, or a degree. LPU has a separate Division of International affairs which facilitates this. Credit Transfer : International credit transfer programs allow students to move to a foreign partner university after spending generally half of the duration at LPU. In such a case a student gets the final degrees from the foreign partner university. It is extremely cost-effective because you start the degree at LPU and save by paying only two-year fees or one-year fees of the foreign partner university. Semester Exchange : In the semester exchange, students get an opportunity to study a full semester at our partner universities around the world and finish their degrees at LPU. From living in a foreign country with a different cultural setting to staying with foreigners, a semester abroad is like getting an international education' in 5 months. Summer/Winter Study Abroad : These programs generally happen in the summer vacations or winter vacations of the academic year. A summer/winter study programs offer courses, both academic and non-academic. Students can have the best of both worlds, international exposure without disturbing their academic schedule. Courses usually last from one to six weeks. International internships opportunities: Division of International Affairs at the LPU provides opportunities to students to go for Internships in foreign universities and companies. Through this, students can spend the last year of their degree or their last semester at a foreign university or company. Masters abroad : Many students aspire to do their Masters or Ph.D. abroad after graduating from LPU.

LPU offers Four types of International student exchange programmes: A. International Credit Transfer: Under international credit transfer, student will study part of the programme (generally two years in case of Undergraduate programme or 1 year in case of Masters programme) at LPU and complete the rest of his/her degree at a partner foreign university from USA, UK Canada, Australia or other countries. In such case students get the final degree from the foreign University abroad with which he/she completes later part of the degree. It is cost effective as it saves almost 50% of the cost to get a degree from the overseas university B. Semester Abroad: Under option of Semester exchange student would spend a full semester at partner foreign university. After studying for a semester at a foreign partner University the student gets his/her credits transferred back to LPU. This opportunity can be availed by student who have completed one year of study at LPU. Other expenses relating to VISA, accommodation (where applicable), food and any other charges of LPU or partner foreign university /institute have to borne by the student. C. International Exposure (aka Summer/Winter Programme): This option would offer students with short visits to an overseas university. Such visits help a student to learn about the culture of a new country and also in exploring the available opportunities. In these programmes the visits are generally for a period of 2 to 4 weeks. It can be categorized as: a. Summer Programmes b. Winter Programmes D. Masters Abroad: After graduation, a student can apply for Masters programme to a partner university. Students can also avail the benefit of scholarships available with the partner university. Being an alumni I would like to capture your attention on the following : Of course LPU have study abroad option. Credit Transfer Student after successful completion of 2 years. At LPU may be given option to join partner/ receiving university abroad for the completion of programme subject to conditions and norms of regulatory bodies. For requisites and other clauses. International Exposure Option Student may be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country as decided by the University subject to conditions. For requisites and other clauses, Semester Exchange Student may be given an option to join partner/ receiving university abroad for a semester as decided by the University subject to conditions. LPU offers Credit transfer, Student exchange programmes, Articulation programmes etc. Where students can opt to study half the course period at the university itself and the other term period at LPU linked universities or colleges abroad.
