Does LPU offer any benefits to defence people or its dependents in studies?

LPU is one of the best choices indeed. It provides for multiple industrial exposures, live projects, an updated curriculum rigor and technology along with very good placements and personality development. During my post-graduation I got 100% scholarship on the basis of achievements in sports and it continued till last semester of my MBA. I represented LPU in AIU level and won gold medal. Lovely Professional University strongly believes in the fact that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a student to have access to quality education. So, the University extends Scholarship Scheme to students on various parameters. Scholarship can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. Students have been awarded with scholarship worth Rs. 100+ crores in last year only. Students get different scholarships as per their performances in the academic as well as in other activities. The scholarship is also available on the basis of: Percentage in Qualifying Exam LPU NEST (LPU National Entrance & Scholarship Test) Percentage in Sports, R&D, Co-curricular Activities (CCA), Social Services and National Bravery Award Special Scholarship for Toppers of Education Board Fee Concession for Defense, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel and their dependents. Scholarship for Orphan Applicants Scholarship for Person with Certain Disability As per my knowledge, whatever scholarships you are awarded at the time of admission, it will be continue till the last semester, But it can be cancelled in case of any serious misconduct or in disciplinary action committed by the student or poor academic performance.

LPU is providing the financial aid to encourage our dedicated soldiers in the Defence and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and their dependents. Defense forces considered under the scheme: Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Indian Coast Guard Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seem Bal (SSB), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Railway Protection Force (RPF), National Security Guards (NSG), Special Frontier Force (SFF), Assam Riffles, Border Road organisation, General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF), Defence Research and Development organisation (DRDO), Military Engineers Service MS Defence Security Corps (DSC), Ordnance Factory Board. A relaxation of 5% in eligibility will be given for all categories and programmes (Diploma, Programmes after 10+2, Programmes after Graduation etc. ). Except for programmes where certain regulatory bodies have imposed minimum eligibility conditions. The applicant is required to submit the documents. In the second category fall their dependents and the dependents of the martyrs, they get 30 percent waive off on the programme fee. In the third category are the serving personnel who have taken a leave to study at LPU, they get 30 percent waive off while their dependents in category 4 get 20 percent waive off. In addition to it, the university also offers 5 percent relaxation to the wards of the defence candidates in the eligibility criteria. Defense personnel and their dependents are eligible for LPU benefits. If a waiver is offered, it falls into one of four types. The first is a category for prize recipients and those who have been disabled in combat. If students opt to study at LPU, they will receive a 50% discount. Their dependents and the dependents of martyrs fall into the category, and they are exempt from paying the programme cost by 30%. Serving personnel who have taken a leave of absence to study at LPU are eligible for a 30% waiver, while their dependents in category 4 are eligible for a 20% waiver. In addition, the institution allows wards of defense applicants to receive a 5% reduction in the eligibility requirements.
