Yes LPU do offer Scholarship to special categories that include Orphan Student. I have gone through the website of LPU & going to quote the highlights of these scholarship. Objective of the Scheme: To provide financial assistance to students who need support for pursuing their higher education and to increase attainment and enhance their employability. Benefits under the scheme: 1)Full Programme fee waiver 2)Examination fee waiver An applicant who is not availing any other scholarship/ grant offered by the university or Government or any other body (Public or Private) can apply for the benefits under the scheme. Last date of application will be 30th June 2021. Definition for better understanding of eligibility: Orphan is a child whose both parents are dead, or he/she is an abandoned child. The applicant is not legally adopted by any individual or couple or group. Selection of Applications:. Criteria-1: Income of the applicant (if self-employed) and/or guardian (Lower to be preferred). Criteria-2: In case of tie between two or more applicants as per criteria-1, then preference shall be given to percentage marks in the eligibility qualification of applicant (higher percentage marks will be preferred). Criteria-3: In case there is further a tie between two or more applicants as per criteria-1 and Criteria-2, then Date of Birth will be considered for breaking the tie and applicant senior in age will be preferred.
