The benefits, process of applications submitted, and selection of applications pertaining to the scheme are detailed below: The objective of the Scheme: To provide financial assistance to students who need support for pursuing their higher education and to increase attainment and enhance their employability. Eligibility for Application: An applicant who is not availing of any other scholarship/ grant offered by the university or Government or any other body (Public or Private) can apply for the benefits under the scheme. With a view to facilitate access to higher education to persons who belong to specific category and whose annual family income is below a certain limit, LPU offers a financial aid. An applicant who is not eligible/ availing any other scholarship/ grant offered by the university or Government or any other body (Public or Private) can apply for the benefits under the scheme. Further the applicant must belong to any of the categories covered under the scheme I. E. Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and special categories that includes Single Girl Child, Single Mother, Students from Minorities, Transgender, and Non-Traditional Student. The benefits of 30% scholarship on programme fee as financial aid will be awarded to selected applicants. Total of 70 seats are offered under the scheme in selected programmes. The seats are divided into two categories, first for students belonging to the economically weaker section and second for special categories. For a single girl child an affidavit on a stamp paper of minimum Rs. 100/- is required from parent of child; the affidavit duly signed and stamped from the executive magistrate (Annexure-I: Affidavit from Parent of Single Girl Child). Yes LPU do very recently augmented its scholarship benefit to students & introduced Scholarship to special categories that include Single Girl Child, Single Mother, Students from Minorities, Transgender, and Non-Traditional Student. Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) Scholarship is also there. Objective of the Scheme: To provide financial assistance to students who need support for pursuing their higher education and to increase attainment and enhance their employability An applicant who is not availing any other scholarship/ grant offered by the university or Government or any other body (Public or Private) can apply for the benefits under the scheme Benefits under the scheme: The benefits of 30% scholarship on programme fee as financial aid will be awarded to selected applicants. LPU always intends to provide scholarship to all eligible students in all possible ways so that fulfilling the fees criteria should not be the hurdle for any of the students to get quality education. Through there is no single girl child scholarship available in LPU but at the same time there are certain excellent Scholarship Opportunities available in Lovely Professional University in all the courses. I do believe each & every students get benefited with these scholarships. 1) There is upto 60% scholarship through LPU NEST Exam or Percentage in previous two qualifications. 2) 100% scholarship may also be achieved through Sports / Cultural Scholarship. 3) Defence Scholarship provided to wards of Defence personnel. 4) Scholarship can also be achieved based on Rank achieved in National level Test. 5) Scholarship on performance in Social Service / Bravery (NSS/NCC) 6) Scholarship on performance in Research & Development (R&D) 7) Board Topper, Orphan Scholarships are also available in LPU. 8) Scholarship also be extended to person with certain disability.
