Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials Science principles to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery. The Mechanical Engineering department had the most ideal study environment since I have two friends from that stream and they both got placed in Hyundai India Motor Ltd. As far as Mechanical engineering is concerned, I can tell you this course carries extra baggage and it is very fruitful if you choose LPU as a medium. I would like to share their experiences:- A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in students in addition to giving them international exposure. LPU alumni are working in top MNCs across the globe like Voltas International, Honda Two Wheelers, Asahi India Glass Ltd. , Indo Farm Tractors Ltd. etc. LPU Students have been offered International locations like Dubai and Oman by Voltas. PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester covering: Analytical Skills (Logic Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning) Quantitative Aptitude Skills Technical Aptitude Skills Presentations and Soft Skills Mock Exercises (Mock Interviews, GDs, Mock Tests, etc. ). All a student has to do is to maintain a good academic record and personality to ensure his/her placement. Many people have their views that LPU students study less but to complete the statement, I would say that the students work hard. The most prominent and wide tech fest for mechanical students is GO Kart race that took place in LPU for consecutive years and LPU is bagging the top position in the race. There are more than 100 companies that are coming in LPU for recruitment of mechanical students. The packages varies from 3 Lacs to 12 Lacs per annum. On an average, the packages are 5 Lacs in a very core company which gradually sees a couple of rapid promotions based on your handwork. Students have got top packages from leading tech companies. Students of Mechanical engineering are placed in Honda, VOLTAS, XL Dynamics, Anglo Eastern Ship Management, Hero MotoCorp, Hyundai Constructions, and many more. Hope this information is helpful!

Hello, When I have communicated with the students in a seminar, LPU provides best placements and exposures to their students. But what I feel is that, be it any university, the placements scale is directly proportional to the students preparation towards the placements. Its a industry driven university where the education and learning is not limited to the classrooms, bit extended to practical knowledge through labs, participating events in Go karting, Supra, etc. The good thing about LPU have PEP (Placement Enhancement programmes) which conducts various online tests, specialised classes, and sessions to prepare for group discussions and interviews through Mock Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Hi, Yes, LPU is good for mechanical engineering. All the faculty members are highly educated and they teach each and every topics in very easy way. All the facilities and available for every course. Placements are also very good. LPU is full of opportunities.

The course objective of mechanical engineering is to prepare students for applying the principles of mechanical engineering for designing, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems The LPU school has well qualified and experienced faculty members with specialisation in various fields like, Aerospace Engineering, Automobile Engineering, CAD/CAM, Engineering Design, Industrial Engineering, Machine Tool Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Metallurgy, Robotics, Thermal Engineering, etc. The mechanical department has many feats to its credit: Students from Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronics have gone on semester exchange programme to France IMT Lille Douai Under the Student Exchange programme, students went to GC German Center for advanced Engineering and Management Studies, Germany Started the ASHRAE-LPU Student Branch on 11/08/2018 with the total members of 12. Hi, Of course yes. LPU gives adequate opportunities to each of the eligible students to secure good placement. If I talk about the rankings of the Lovely Professional University Zee News Survey rated us as 11th Best in India in Placements.
