Kasturba Medical College offers Kalam-Pai, Freeship and Scholars Scholarship to MBBS students. Students need to pass Class 12 with at least 80% aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects. The scholarship provides a 100% waiver of course and hostel fee. However, aspirants need to pay the full first year course fee including a refundable caution deposit of INR 10,000 at the time of reporting.

Manipal University has scholarships for those students who have All India Rank below 5000 in NEET. Data as per their website: 100% for students below AIR 1000. MBBS, BDS & BPharm Courses: Candidates who have secured within the first 100 ranks of the respective merit list in the MU-OET 2015 are offered 100% freeship. The freeship will cover only the course fee payable for the particular course of study. Freeship for NEET ranks AIR 2000 and under. Scholarship for ranks AIR 2000 to 5000. That's the only criteria.
