    No MSc IT is not important for animation. If you're creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in animation design, game design, graphics, storyboarding, 3d modelling, texturing and lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation (2D and 3D).     First of all I must say that animation is an exciting career. Animation industry is no doubt one of the fastest emerging fields. Training is the most essential and important aspect in this field.
    To be eligible, minimum education qualification for a degree and diploma course in animation is plus two or equivalent.
    For better job prospect, one should have a degree or diploma in animation.
