No, lateral entry admission is not available to B.Tech. students at the National Defence Academy (NDA). Cadets are trained completely from start in all facets of military and academic training over the three-year NDA programme. Following a year of pre-commissioning training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) for Army cadets, the Air Force Academy (AFA) for Air Force cadets, and the Naval Academy (NA) for Navy cadets, cadets are commissioned as officers in their respective branches as part of the programme.

The National Defence Academy (NDA) offers admission to students who have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination. The academy offers a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. ) degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics. However, NDA does not offer lateral entry admission to B.Tech students.
