Does National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences has good and experienced faculty?

NIMHANS Provides about 10 seats for. Neurosurgery (6-year) courses. The entry is through the INI-CET exam conducted by AIIMS. For the general category, the cutoff rank has been around 68 (air) in recent years. Due to their reputation and limited seats, the competition is intense, and only the top -ranked candidates secure admission to this highly specialised program.

There is no specific syllabus given for  the NIMHANS entrance exam, But the student preparing for the entrance exam, they needs to study whole syllabus of the B.Sc life sciences and some basic knowledge of neurosciences is mandatory.

The seat-intake for differernt courses is decided by NIMHANS Bangalore prior to the beginning of the admission process. The seat intake for different courses on offer at the admission 2025 process is: 

• BSc: 114 seats
• MSc: 45 seats
• MD: 44 seats
• MPH: 10 seats

The admission process for NIMHANS Bangalore is entrance based. Candidates must appear for the INI-CET to participate in the admission process of the institute.
