<p>NIT Hamirpur offers various merit and means-based scholarships to promote education and encourage talented students with a financially weaker backgrounds. A total of 28 scholarships are offered by NIT Hamirpur to eligible students. The need-based scholarships are offered keeping in mind the financial background of the student whereas merit-based scholarships are offered to bright students with a good academic record. Some of the names include Top Class Education for SC- Category Students, National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students (formerly Top Class Education Scholarship for ST -Category Students), Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship to students belonging to Minority communities i.e. (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist &amp; Parsi ), etc.</p>
