    Yes, NIU offers scholarhips to international students. These students can be considered for a merit or housing scholarship. The scholarship application can be made via the Office of International admissions through MyScholarships application where these scholarships are listed. 

    Below mentioned are some of NIU scholarships for international students: 

    • International Freshman Merit Scholarship
    • International Transfer Merit Scholarship
    • Housing Scholarship

This school does not accept ACT or SAT scores for general admission  or merit scholarships. The NIU acceptance rate stands at 71% making it a modertely easy university ti get into. The students are required to meet certain NIU admission requirements.  

NIU follows a moderately stringent selection procedure to select candidates for their UG and PG programs.
