It is in south campus. The main department of engineering is PU. PU offers mechanical engineering.

UIET, Chandigarh is quite good compared to many other colleges. It has been developing decently over the past years. It is backed by some good faculty, decent placement record, the stature of being engineering department of world-famous university i. e Panjab University. CSE and ME being the most demanded job fields, enjoy the status of being the best branches of the college. Various companies like Infosys, Gemini Solutions, Unisys, Jugnoo etc have been visiting the campus for placements.
